Unfortunately, Glenn's victims are tricked at first by his wealthy facade, cute family, professional office, etc. He gets people to feel sorry for him and his problems (which never end), and convinces people to PAY for his mistakes and misjudgments. He thinks everybody likes him, that it is OK to flirt with young girls and other people's wives, that when he makes a pass or blows up at someone it's OK because "Heavenly Father" knows what's really "in his heart." He is so caught up in his own dramas that he hasn't noticed how his behavior turns everyone against him. He always has an excuse; often a religious one, and has convenient lines to quote from the Book of Mormon. Remember: The DEVIL can quote scripture better than most people of faith! Would Our Lord and Savior sign-up an old person's assets in an annuity he couldn't touch for 20 years? Would he treat secretaries like chattle? Would he lie to his friends? Would he make passes at little girls? Would he breach contracts? Would he "borrow" money from people and then move out of town?
If anyone dares to float the idea of reporting Glenn to ANYBODY, he harasses them, calling, driving to their house, threatening them. His favorite line is, "I'll sue you for defamation of character." I know people who are grown adults who look away when a black car drives by because it might be his. I know people afraid to go to certain restaurants, events, or churches because he might be there. The BBB complaint process is NOT anonymous like this forum is, by the way, and it involves filling out a long form that I personally gave up on after page 3. Anyone can be a member of BBB; you just pay a fee and suddenly you look legitimate.
Glenn's history is one filled with constant relocations because he bankrupts people financially and emotionally, and when he leaves, everyone breathes a sigh of relief and tries to go on with their lives. (Even his own father won't have anything to do with him.) Many people are embarassed and humiliated to admit they've been scammed! Many don't know who to complain to. Many are ready to take him on, then get scared because he coerces them to back down. Many are so old they don't have the energy to fight back, or they think they will have to sue Glenn on their own and that it will be expensive (and because of Glenn's trickery they can't access their own money!). The elderly, especially, should know that there is a whole system out there just to fight for you: Just call your local District Attorney: Lake County's is (707) 263-2251. Another common reason for letting Glenn get away with his misdeeds is, "I feel sorry for his wife and kids." This is enabling an addict. What is Glenn's addiction? SUFFERING. He can't stop, and it only gets worse (even for his wife and kids!) the more he is enabled.
People, let's stand up and speak out: Law Enforcement needs to know what's going on. If you are elderly, mention the HOT buzz words: SENIOR FINANCIAL FRAUD. Besides getting your money back, you may have the satisfaction of putting a criminal behind bars. If you are currently being stalked or threatened, call 911. He's been getting away with too much for too long.
I sincerely hope that Glenn will SOMEDAY SOON come to his senses and put an end to the cycle of suffering and misery that he inflicts on himself, his family, and his community. May his dear wife see the light before she too ends up going down with the Titanic; that being the ultimate fate of all codependents. His children may live in a fancy house but I'm sure they'd appreciate a father in his right mind even more than all the luxuries Glenn rents for them.
(By the way, Glenn is being sued now by two brave people in my community. I am so proud of them. Since Glenn hasn't settled yet, I can only assume his attorney is as much of a scam artist as Glenn is, maybe just too wet behind the ears, or he isn't from around here. He should really know by now that his deviant client doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of coming out victorious. At least he's getting rich at Glenn's expense! Kudos to him. That's a nice, ironic way for an expensive chicken to come home to roost, wouldn't you agree, Goodguy?)
