Dan Dekleine, a mortgage broker for Morgan Funding Corp. Offered us a low interest loan for 2 1/2 years. If we were told the truth, that it wasn't low interest, but deferred interest, we never would have accepted. The agent who came to our home with the paperwork to sign must have been an accomplice, because he repeated the low interest lie. The first offer was 3.11% for 10 years, but that never materialized and we were sent an amortization schedule. (Must have been to win our confidence.) Mr. Dekleine told us that few people qualify for this great loan, but we did because of our great credit. The low interest rate only lasted 1 month and after a year and many additional payments the principal hadn't changed. We are 65 and have had many mortgages and we never had a mortgage complaint before. Dan Dekleine obviously was only looking out for his commission and didn't give a hoot about what was in the best for his clients. I am self-employed and I always advise my clients in their best interests.
