Sallie Mae
Is the End of Life as we know it! Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania

The school I went to has been on Dateline twice for embezzlement and fraud. While going to this school we quite literally went through about six presidents. They were all fired for embezzlement! When I first signed up for the two-year school I was told that it would cost $25,000.00 with a 98% placement rate. So like anyone wanting a better life / career I went for it besides if what they promise works out I should be fine right?

Well it ended up 100% wrong! Since then I have done nothing but everything in my power to try to right a wrong. Sallie Mae whom I have my student loans thought not only knowingly helped this school rip off and screw every student who attended there also have there own little scam to make it ten times worse.

Dealing with Sallie Mae is like dealing with a revolving door. My wife and I both went to school and got the same loans. Much like others that went to school there. If any of us had anything in common it was being ripped of by Sallie Mae. So they call up and demand their money but have no intentions of actually helping or even really getting their money. The most important thing to them is to either get what they are asking for or get you to go into forbearance.

Well like me I couldnt afford their payments so I had to go into forbearance. Which everyone at this point knows it sets you back even further. I could talk to 20 managers, and twenty hours hours could go by and still no way of actually setting up a payment plan that works for you. You go from manager to manager until you get back to the person you were originally dealing with only to be right back where you started. Which is why cant you pay us? But again all they care about is the money the more they can make the better off they are.

So they sucker you into either complying with their system or your going to pay elsewhere! Scare tactics!
When I first graduated six years ago I was close to $50,000.00 in dept with them. I have seven loanshow I got this many I dont really know. But what I do know is now they are at $78,000.00 and still Sallie Mae wont budge on their $800.00 a month payments. I cant consolidate and they always refuse to let someone else buy the loans so we might work on a better payment. SO I gave up last year and they sent me to a creditor payments went down for about a year my wife thought we might actually be able to get back on our feet. Fat chance! They just call up again and tell us they need there money and again at 600 dollars a month and that we have to pay or else Sallie Mae will come after us for everything.

Well I dont own a thing thanks to Sallie Mae and theres no chance of ever seeing a possible future unless things somehow change. Which is not likely because the name of the school brought up in any job interview pretty much kills my chance at the job.

To top things off the school has been on Dateline TWICE for embezzlement / fraud! So that not only killed my chances but annihilated getting a good job. It was a two-year college and I by myself excluding my wife I owe $78,000.00! If I could go back to school, and I might have a chance at getting a job but how can I put any faith into that after everything? I sure cant afford to owe more than I do now. I went to the school got my degree and still everyone I know that went to that school and graduated never even got a job in the field promised to them. 98% placement they say the school I am talking about is Brooks College. Or known by many now as Crooks College! If justice ever prevailed both Brooks and Sallie Mae would fall flat on their face. How can this be? All our lives we are told that if we dont go to college we wont get great jobs well now Im more in the poor house than ever.in which there is no end in Site!

I could understand if it had been a couple of people here couple of people there. The hasnt been a day gone by that I havent heard of someone trying to better theyre situation and ended up screwed by the same loans from Sallie Mae and the same lies about how the school will make sure you get the job you deserve. Do I deserve it? I dont really know. Other than people all around me telling me I have this amazing gift but no way of using it. But when it comes down to it I somehow seem to be the one to blame for all my misfortune. I gave it my all and lost everything!

If its the last thing I ever do I promise I will expose these programs, and schools for the frauds they truly are. Our government is failing in all areas of education now the one place we are supposed to be able to change all that is gone. Well... Unless you can afford to go to Harvard, or Yale. But if I had the money to do that I could also afford to pay the ridiculous amount their asking.

Hell I might have just gone to one of those schools for as much as I paid for a two-year school. Which originally was only supposed to be $25,000.00. How could it possibly go from $25,000.00 to $50,000.00 in the two-years I went there? Especially since I was supposed to be on a fixed program through these loans they set me up with. I have talked to lawyersnone of which had any advice to give. I talked to teachers, kids, schools, and people nobody had anything to say except it sucks.
So its obvious to me now what I must do. I dont know where I will start my search but I will find my answers.By the time I am finished I hope that this matter will be exposed for everything that it is. They are quite literally stealing our education out from under our noses. They say, hey this person looks like a sucker lets take advantage of their situation.

I will also be posting a segment on the school if anyone is interested.
