I have been a victim of fraudulent closing documents unbeknownest to me unitl May when the seller of my house asked me did I know that the broker whom he referred me to, whom he also stated that he had never used her but when I was looking to purchase the home the seller told me that he has used her several times before and that she could help me get a loan. Well the broker that he referred me to had been in trouble for mortgage fraud this I found out later on. Well anyway when I asked him what she was in trouble for he replied" he didn't know. Well in talking to several different persons that have heard about her and then whom in turn directed me to a FBI agent, was told by this various different realestate persons that she had been in trouble for mortgage fraudd during the same year that she was getting the funding for my home thru at the time she the (broker) told me that it was thru the Fannie Mae Foundation and that i was getting a 30yr. Fixed rate. And I was also told that we could call the a Particular person w/in the foundation stating that this was a 30 year Fix.
So I called the 1-800 #that was given to me and spoke to someone who I thought was with the Fannie mae foundation and the did verify that this was a 30 year fixed rate after that the person that I spoke to a the Fannie mae Foundation which turned out to be someone from AMC Mortgage she called the mortgage broker back to let her know that I had called In turn the broker asked me in a very nasty tone why did I call the company? I told her that she said that I could and that this was my lively hood that was at stake! When @ the time of signing the closing papers we asked questions again we verified with the closing attorney (whom they chose) that this was a 30 year fixed we were assured that we were getting a 30 year fixed rate and this is also what the contract had stated as well when we read it again. Well anyway we were told after signing that we had to leave our documents there at the attorney's office because his copier broke down we were told that we needed to pick them up in 1week... We didn't know we were first time home purchasers... When we did pick up the papers it had AMC mortgage as our Mortgager and it had a 2year Fix with an Adjustable 30year rate.
I told the Lawyer that we didn't sign up for this type of loan, and he told us that it was nothing that we could do about it. It wasn't until the seller came to my door in may that made me take a look at the Loan documents again in doing so I noticed that my signature was lighter than the rest of the signatures and somewhat broken, I also noticed that some information on those documents were false such as my DOB... I just found out that their is something to be done about this it took me 17 months to find out who I could try to talk to about it but so far NO LUCK PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN THANK YOU.
