In the middle of my senior year of high school while I was searching for a university to attend I was contacted by a CLout Visa offering me a credit card. Eventhough I was only 17 at the time I was sent a credit card without me signing any papers of terms and agreements. Short after, I fell behind on the card while paying the min. Balance for about 2 years. I bacame fed up so I contacted Clout Visa and agreed to settle the account. I owed $800 but we settled for $500. My mother agreed to let them take the money from her account in two withdrawl, both 2 weeks apart for $250. After the balance was paid I never recieved any clearace papers saying that the account was paid off. To this day I am still recieving billing statements that says I owe the company. Everytime I call about the issue they find this error and say that they will send me a notification saying that they made a mistake and the account is clear but I have been waiting for that letter for about 8 months. I call every week and I keep getting the run around, most of the time they usually hang up on me when I call about this issue. I just started my first business and this is really hindering me to get where I really want to be in life. I really feel harassed because I am constantly beng turned down for loans and other credit cards.
