I am filing this report against GA Trust Financial and the main representative I dealt with James Ford (866-535-4536). I was applying for a personal loan to help with some family and financial difficulties. I received a call from Mr. Ford telling me I would be able to get the loan for the amount I was asking, but I would need to give a 10% "security deposit". Seeing as how I did need the funds, I decided to give the 10% which equalled $3000.
I scrapped this money together barely and it was all I had. I sent the money via Western Union over a two day period. I was told that after all the deposit was received I would need to wait 24-48 hours to receive the funds into my bank account. As of this day, it's been almost two weeks, I have not received any of the funds which were promised to me.
I called Mr. Ford repeatedly and he kept telling me to speak to the "Customer Care Manager, Mr. Alex Buckley (sp?) (770-908-3430)". I left several voicemail messages for Mr. Buckley and have not received a call back nor did I ever get Mr. Buckley live. I tried calling him through the general 866 number and received attitude from the person answering because I was highly annoyed she wanted to send me back to voicemail. I spoke wtih Mr. Ford repeatedly through this process and he kept telling me to speak to Mr. Buckley.
On Friday, 3/30/07, I decided I wanted my money back and according to the representative on the general 866 number I would be able to get my deposit back if I speak to my representative and tell them that I was dissatisfied and wanted a refund. I was supposed to be sent a form to fill out so I could get the money back. To this day I have not been able to contact Mr. Ford to tell him to send me the form or anyone else who could help.
This person, Mr. Ford, had ALL my personal information and now I am concerned about what they will do with it. I beg anyone who is interested to NOT use GA Trust Financial and to report them IMMEDIATELY if they start to ask for funds. Thank you.
