I paid an account a few years ago through Trilogy. I don't think they ownd the account - I think they are only a collection agency (despite all the stuff on their website about being an "asset management" co.) The account is still reporting on my credit bureau as unpaid. I have finally had to hire an attorney because they kept giving me the runaround and referring me other places.
My attorney started doing some basic research, as another client contacted him with the same problem (with this ssame co!). My attorney contacted the attorney for Trilogy (who was listed on Trilogy's website). It turns out she has not worked for the company for TWO YEARS. My attorney says Half the people listed on the website no longer work at the company... But they were still on the website.
My attorney did research on Mitch Bonilla and he seems like a real piece of work. Typical collection agency sleaze bag. Theres stuff all over the web about him, once you start doing research. My attorney told me to check out his profile on "dontdatehimgirl.com." Kinda funny because its the same photo he uses on the Trilogy website.
