My wife and I were attempting to find assistance paying off our debts due to financial hardship. We found Hess Kennedy and started their "debt settlement program" in April of '06. To date we continue to receive calls from creditors and it is apparent none of the money we sent has been utilized to pay creditors. Every time we called Hess Kennedy they just gave us a canned answer saying "we are still negotiating with creditors".
My wife called and requested a statement of actions so far in writing from Hess Kennedy and was transferred 4 times before being hung up on. Prior to this my wife would attempt to contact them weekly for updates and frequently no one would answer the phone (it would be during normal business hours) or she would receive a message stating a representative would call back, they didn't.
We then faxed a letter demanding a report of all attempts to negotiate with creditors. Hess Kennedy did not even respond in over 2 weeks. We have complained to the FTC and Attorney General in Florida regarding this. Stay away from these crooks.
