I rec'd a letter from AFNI, Inc dated Jan 27 stating I am responsible for a debt from Sprint in 1994 in the amount of $99.06. I called AFNI asking them about this debt and they advised me this is a debt from Sprint saying I acquired this debt due to a long distance phone call from March 1994.
I expained to them this is not my debt and I can't believe they are trying to come after me for debt that was not mine and being almost 13 years old. All they were concerned is when I am making a payment.
Again I told AFNI this is not mine and they must resolve this problem and disolve this account.
Since then I have sent them a certified letter letting them know remove this from my name, emailed them 4 times to remove this debt, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and now filing a report with usacomplaints.com.
People must realize this company is a scam and accusing people of old debts that are not theirs or debts that are well past the statue of limitations.
I need help to make sure this situation does not affect my credit and my well being.
