Wanted a down payment for a loan and then backed out. Probably will not see money again. Scam ripoff

Applied for a loan on line and Lincoln Fidelity Group wanted a down payment for my 12000.00 loan. I wired it. The next day they said the lender backed out and I would not see my down payment until Feb. 22. I am out 2616.63. College student who borrowed from mom and dad. Scam, Scam.
