Gift Card Payment Rejected After Receipt Given, Late Fee Charged

I signed up for a Macy's card and got a $25 gift card for signing up. I asked them if I could use it toward my bill. They said sure and when I went to pay it they took it gladly and handed me a receipt.

A month goes by and I recieve my next bill, to my surprise, I see a $25 late fee on it and a return for $25, BUT I didn't return anything. So I call and they tell me I didn't pay my bill! I was very pissed by this time and they say that they DO NOT ACCEPT GIFT CARDS AS PAYMENT! Well isn't that retarted, since they act like they do and kick you in the ass with that $25 gift card. Bastards
