Last year I made an internet payday loan request and got it approved. I have been a customer of this company for several months until in December when I had a family emergency and had to default on the loan. I am willing to make payments on the amount owed and explained it to them but they are not interested in multiple payments and want their money in 2 payments.
They have called my employer inquiring about my employment status and getting payroll information. I can not pay the full amount in 2 payments and explained it to them but they are not willing to negotiate and are threatening in calling my employer and telling them that I am not paying my bills.
I told them that this will cause for me to lose my job, but they are not interested in negotiating. I am not telling tham I won't pay, I am just asking for some flexibility.
Can someone tell me if I have any rights with them, or do I risk losing my job since I can't pay this debt?
