Ripoff, scam artists, fradulent company

I recieved a call from this company yesterday and they told me that I was pre-approved for their Visa and Mastercard. The Visa was a $2000 limit and the Mastercard was a $3000 credit line. They gave me a phone number and an identification number of 1515 to use when I call back to ask any questions. They told me that it would only cost a fee of $199 and that I could pay it whenever I wanted. They assured me that because of laws they could not take the money out of my account. So I gave them my checking information over the phone. I was lucky, because I was talking with my friend that morning and told her what happened and she told me that the same thing happened to her not too long ago and that money started disappearing from her checking account. I immediately went to my bank and re-opened another account. I was one of the lucky ones, because I was informed before any money was taken out as to what type of company this is. I just hope that by writing this report I can help others out there so that they don't get ripped off by this company. JenniferDecatur, Illinois
