Collections Dept won't take no for an answer and remove my new phone number from their list Ripoff

I don't know much about this bank or it's different departments, as I have never done business with them. Obviously the person who had the new phone number I received a month ago did.

As all the regular readers of this forum know, I'm a person who is awake all night and sleeps daytime. The collections dept. Of Washington Mutual has called my number 7 times now and have been told each time the person they are looking for no longer has this number. They say they will remove the number from their list, only to call and wake me up at 8 to 8:30 am, a few days later.

This morning my roommate/best friend answered and again asked that the number be removed and was told it would be. Next he hit the CID button on the phone and called the 800 number back to find out it was Washington Mutual when it was answered. My roommate then asked to be put thru to a supervisor. The man that answered asked him for an account number, we said we have no account and wanted the phone number taken off the list. The man then asked for the phone number and claimed it was not in their list, to which he was told 'apparently it is as we were just called and woken up'. Then my roommate asked to speak to a supervisor again. After awhile on hold a person claiming to be a supervior picked up.

My roommate nicely explained that he was NOT this Marlene they were looking for, she did not have this phone number any longer and after 7 early morning calls which woke us up and asking to be removed from their list, we were still getting called. The supervisor again put him on hold and then came back saying the number had been removed from their call list. My roommate told them thanks and if another call was received we would be looking into filing harassment charges.

Time will tell if what we were told will really happen. If another early morning call wakes us up, you will all again find me posting an update to this report in the early morning hours.

Now, for those that don't know me from my rebuttals in here. I am very sick with Crohn's Disease (down to 80 lbs for those keeping track), I recently have found out I will more than likely need a hip replacement due to the joint of my left hip developing a flat spot on it, which is causing extreme pain on top of the chronic gut pain from the Crohn's and some other assorted auto immune disease related problems, which have not had medical attention during the years I was married.

I just recently moved away from my husband, am gearing up to start the divorce and have moved in with my best friend to have a roof over my head. He works nights and sleeps daytime, so I've continued my crazy sleep hours after moving in here. I am doing my best to get rid of some major stress and sleep isn't easy to come by, with the new combination of medicines I've been put on, now that I am finally getting a doctor's care. The last thing I need is to be woken up by collectors who can't be polite enough to remove this phone number from their list once told the person they are looking for no longer has it.

As I said above, I do hope I won't have to do an update to this report saying we got another 'wake up' call from this company. I have a lot to try to get done today and it's not going to be fun to do it on only 4 1/2 hours of sleep.: (
