An IBC bank officer, Harold Shockley, told me that if I deposited money into his bank, I would be invited to the bank's South Texas hunting camp for a multi day hunt for a world class deer. He showed me videos and photos of deer hunts from previous years. I asked him how much money I needed to deposit. He said $ 100,000 would assure me a hunt in the 2004 season. I told him I could not hunt that year but would like to hunt the 2005 season.
I asked him if a $ 200,000 would ensure me a hunt for the 2005 season. He said yes. I deposited $ 200,000 in a 2 year 2% CD. It was very low interest at the time, but I was to be compensated by a nice, all expenses paid trip.
After part of the 2005 hunting season had passed by with no invitation to hunt, I called Mr Shockley to enquire about the schedule. He said scheduling was tight because it would be near Thanksgiving. I told him that Thanksgiving was not a problem. I called later to enquire further and Mr. Shockley informed me that I would not be deer hunting on the IBC Ranch.
