I have had TCF Bank change my transaction dates many times. On several occasions I have checked my account online, and an electronic transfer will be posted on X date.in the meantime I have withdrawn money on the same date, knowing money is transfered in the same date.
I will later find that when checking my account online the date that the deposit originally posted has changed to a later date, resulting in an overdraft from the transactions I made when the money was already in my account. I can not even believe a reason from them is that it took that long for them to process.
No matter what their defense is, the customer service representatives are always rude and condesending. I have never had a represenative ever try to help me.in one instance a representative had the nerve to yell at me and state, "Do you know what an overdraft fee is?" when I inquired why a check was posted, then the next day returned, and I was charged for and overdraft fee. TCF could have never honored the check and I would never have had an overdraft fee. Another way for them to get money.
Lastly, I have complained many times to the a branch in MN that I was directed to contact regarding tellers giving away my balance without ID, or even asking for a PIN number.
I can't stand TCF, and they should be investigated for their practices.
