I have a home loan with GMAC. They purchased my mortgage and I believe it was with the intent to foreclose. I had many late charges and when I sent my payment. They held them and did not apply them. They were also my mortgage company for 3 months before I was aware. They filed for a foreclosure, then tried to get me to make bizarre repayment plans. On Dec. 30 I paid the amount owed in full.
To date, I have not received any written notice that they have received my payment and today the sheriff came to my home to appraise my property for foreclosure. I believe they purchase mortgages that have high equity and late payments with the intent to foreclose. They are predators.
