Family Credit Counseling has notified their clients that they have been devestated by Hurricane Wilma. Due to their inability to honor their agreement, I have been impacted as well. A debit was posted to my account on October 15th and as of today, those payments have not been forwarded to my creditors. I continue to get collection calls and have been making payments independently for November and December. Now the December payment was deducted from my account! I have notified the company in writing (fax and certified mail) to stop the debits immediately and requested that the October payments be posted at once. This company is very high-risk at this point. They are unable to make payments that were due in October; however, they seem to have made getting December debits processed from my account a priority. I hope no one else will be caught in this trap!
