I was desperate for a loan. Valtrus Capital claimed to give loans to people with bad credit. I was unsure from the start. I guess I should have listened to my gut.
I applied online and gave basic info. I should note that I did not apply to them directly but to transcreditfinancial.com. They had me fill out a short form and and the web site said I would be contacted by the lender that best fit my needs.
Two days later I was contacted by Valtrus Capital and told I was approved for 5,000.00 dollars. They needed two proofs of I.D., proof of income, and a utility bill faxed to them. I would need to give 808.00 down to secure the loan.
I faxed my birth certificate and drivers license along with my proof of income. The whole time feeling unsure. When I was called the following day about the 808.00 dollars to secure the loan I decided to investigate. Something I should have done before I gave them my personal info.
The wanted me to western Union the money to an individual in Canada! The company is suppose to be in Washington. I went online to check out their address and there was no such company. When I called th ask for info to prove where they were located they never called me back
They never saw their 808.00 dollars. However, I still had to change my number on my license and put a fraud watch my credit reports. I can't believe I trusted them. I was stupid and desperate to get the money to go back yo school. They took advantage. After all, how could I think that they approved me for a 5,000.00 loan without asking for my social security number or running a credit check?
