Ripoff, envelope stuffing, work-at-home scam, misleading presentation

For all those who have suffered from the same type scam, I have written the following letter to the company I was "scammed" by. You may wish to rely upon it in your attempts to obtain a refund, or you may contact me directly at (email deleted - see below) for further assistance.

Re: refund request

To whom it may concern:

Pursuant to the section of your "program" literature entitled "REFUND POLICY" I am enclosing herewith the information that was mailed to me and requesting an immediate and full refund of the $45.00 cash paid to you on or about the 16th of July.

When I applied to your firm for an business opportunity, I did so based on your advertisement published in the local Penny Saver and which clearly read: "1000 Envelopes = $5000 Receive $5.00 for every envelope stuffed with our sales material. Guaranteed!"

When I finally received your application, no where in the information provided therein did it inform me that I would either be advertising for your firm, nor selling health and beauty products. If you application had stated instead that I would be "securing... Envelopes through the placement of advertisement (sic) in different newspapers and magazines, " I would never have responded.

Likewise, I would not feel even remotely confident working for a company that operates out of a "rented box" from a box rental service, nor would I feel comfortable working for a company that does not have a listed telephone number in any directory, nor can it an office address be located on the Internet.

I also have considerable difficulty being associated with a firm that is involved in an industry of which has so many consumer and judicial complaints listed on such Internet sites as, but not solely limited to, "usacomplaints.com."

Furthermore, the information packet I was originally mailed informed me that I would be securing envelopes, and stuffing and mailing them; not that any advertising would be involved. From the manner in which the sentence was written, I believed I would be securing those envelopes from you. Consequently, I will look forward to my refund within the next ten (10) days.

In closing, I would advise that you amend your advertisements and the initial literature you provide prospective associates because both are extremely deceptive in nature; and based upon the complaints filed, I am not alone in this attitude. Namely, not until I received your "program" literature did I ever know anything about selling health or beauty products and especially because the initial literature attempts to suggest that I will not doing any selling at all. As a participant in the judicial community, the methods of advertising that you are utilizing are extremely deceptive in nature and therefore should be changed immediately.

Respectfully yours,
