Scam Rip Off Scheme Posing As Mystery Shoppers Company Employers SLIDELL LOUISIANA

Dear Usa Consumer Complaints.com ;

Last year I was searching through the newspaper empoyment section for avalible job openings in my area. I found an ad that said "Mystery Shoppers Wanted". It gave a brief discription of what a mysetery shopper does and how they can make money in their own time and have fun enjoying free products, movie theater tickets, free dinning etc. Just by trying these things out and giving a report of service and ratings.

I really needed extra at this time money so I called the phone no immediately. I was asked to put in the ettention that was given in the ad which I did and then i was connected to a young lady with a sothern accent who identified herself as Mystery Shoppers NFP. She also gave me her name but I cannot remember her name at this time.

I asked her about Mystery Shoppers, she information that she gave me was just as I explained in the first part of this letter. She then went on to tell me how much becoming a Mystery Shopper could benefit myself and family and that I could have lots of fun with it since I enjoy shopping.

I thought its sounded great! I asked her when could I start, and she told me as soon as I received my listings so that I could start signing up for as many jobs as I liked. I thought this was kin of cool being able to go for the ones that were in my area as she told me there were many in my area and that many paid resturants paid higher than most retail stores.

After she made everything sound wonderful, she told me that in order to sign up as a mystery shopper I needed to pay a registration fee. She told me that it was 39.95. I was skeptical when she told me that I had to pay over the phone, but I eventually consented. I gave her my visa credit card information and awaited my registration and listing of all the corporations that hired on mystery shoppers.

About a week or so later I received only a booklet in the mail with out dated corporations that did not have phones still in service, and even the ones that did were longdistance and were not in my area. I looked and looked over this booklet and was not able to find one company, store or restrant that in my area that I could contact for work.

This is when I realized that the woman had not been honest with me. I tried calling the phone no that I had asked her for if I needed any assistance after I received my welcome packet and registration. I called this longdistance no. And there was only a recording of a male's voice directing me to call another no for assistance. I called that no. And a young lady finally answered.

I told her that I was not satisfied with my packet and I got nothing but old out dated addresses and that I found out that they were not infact the "Mystery Shoppers Co. The yound lady told me that she was sorry for the inconvenience but she sould not return my money but she would direct me to another customer service line. Well to make a long story short, I was cut off the line, I tried calling the main no. But when I punched in the code for access, access was denied, it said that I had already used this no. Before. I was not a very happy camper.

They posed as Myster Shoppers, they are not! They ripped me off of my money and gave me nothing. I could not contact them as they were not coperative and they did not allow access to customer service, nor do I believe that they even have one, I believe that this is all a quick get rich scheme. I did call my local newspaper and report them. They said that they would remove the ad from their newspaper, but here I am still out of my hard earned money. I am a freelancer, and I do not make very much money, I am also a single parent. I work hard for my money and it is aweful when people do such crimes to others.

I hope that through my story I can help others that they recognize this company and they are not in a position of loss as well. If I could get my money back I would surly appreciate it. I am out of work at this time due to a motor vehicle accident. It's been hard for me to find the type of work that I once did since the accident. Thank you for taking the time to read and post my report.
