This is apparently not the first complaint of this nature.
In a nutshell,
The company advertises for free sample if buyer pays shipping fee of $7.99.
There is a free trial offered (for 17 days.)
The money back guarentee is good for 30 days from shipment.
Order is entered in the billing sysytem with "Terms / Cond" on date of order, and shipped approx 24 hours later.
However, billing (for what would be expected shipping charge of 7.99 trial shipping is not entered into billing sysytem for untill after the 30 day money back guarentee has passed)
At that time, you are billed for $79.62.
This is an "auto enrollment."
And, you will be billed for $79.62 each month untill you can figure out how to get a live person to speak to on the phone.
When you do finally get to speak with a human that can give the above information,
You will be given a cancellation number for your account.
But, you will also be given the following information:
Order date entry in their system
Your agreement to their terms and conditions on that date,
Which are—
Free trial for 17 days from order date
Money back guarentee for 30 days from shipment date
AND, you are in agreement to subscribe to whatever (?) it is they do every month while charging your account $79.62
You will not see this billing information on your account until far beyond the time that you can prevent being billed
And, if there is to be further shipment of items subscribed to in this "subscription, " I have no idea what they would be. I have not received any further products past my initial 'monthly subscripton' shipment initiated on 12/21/09.
