I thought i had thin hair before! Now i'm a totally bald woman!!!
I'm devastated! I went to a FREE consultation at the Hair Club for Men and Women in Houston, TX and was emotionally "caught".
The procedure was not at all as explained, I thought I was having hair infused into my current hair. NOT! It was a glued on hair piece that looked like crap! I went back several times to try to get it fixed and was only coerced into signing up to extend their services so they could help me learn how to do my hair AND to give them more money.
They use the "flood you with paper" trick to get you to sign up in the beginning. The papers came across so quick I had agreed to something I hadn't researched.
Three months later I get my hair only to see the truth about the procedure. They shaved my original hair and attached the hair piece with glue! Oh and they don't let you see what they're doing because they turn your back towards the mirror.
When I left their office, it looked pretty good, but that's when the horror began! The next day I was able to really look at what they did and it was absolutely unacceptable! I called and told to come in, they would fix it. Once again, yes, I left their office feeling hopeful... Until the next day. I called and went back again and was assured they would make it all right. The staff was so nice and seemed genuinely involved with my outcome. HA!
Well I left the office... You guessed it, feeling hopeful. On my 4th return to "fix it", I was told that I was having issues because it was just new to me and they would show me how to work with it and not to worry. Then I was flooded by a load of papers to sign and commit to coming back to them, paying them $500 a month for treatments. I later found out that does NOT include getting the new hair piece.
To top it off, the hair piece is balding in spots and falling out all over the place.
I don't know what to do next. My head is shaved, did I mention I'm a woman and had hair down to below my shoulders? They say I can't get my money back because it's been too long. The fine print in the contract protects them against any responsibility. It's not right that a company can do this and get away with it!!!
I'm pleading for your help. I'm on disability and can't afford to just give away money. I get so tired of businesses taking advantage of people who still believe people can be trusted.
If I could get my $2500 back and be done with them, that would be good enough. However, I think they should pay me for the emotional trauma of being a bald woman and re-enforcing my disability (being able to live in a corrupt world where companies take advantage of trusting consumers) I think they should pay the cost of a wig while I wait for my hair to grow back, if it ever does.
Please help me!!!
