Four Days Without a Tow After Being Passed Between Agents

I requested a tow service for my vehicle on Monday, 05/04/26. I paid $300 for an additional 40 miles over the contracted agreement. I received appointment # 183759354 and was told I would be contacted by the tow provider. I never was.

Tuesday 05/05, I contacted Roadside Assistance and spoke to Allicia. I inquired about my tow service. She stated they were having trouble locating a service provider and would locate one and have them contact me. I never received contact.

Wednesday 05/06, I contacted Roadside Assistance again and spoke to Robert about my tow request. He said I would need to pay an additional $15 since an error was made regarding the mileage; it should have been 42 miles, not 40. I approved the $15 additional charge. He said that was the reason the tow service had not been processed. He assured me the vehicle would be picked up Thursday 05/07 at 10 AM, and that the provider would call before pickup. I never heard from the provider, and the vehicle was not picked up.

I contacted Roadside Assistance again and spoke to Orlando, who said they were still trying to locate a tow provider. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said a supervisor, Damien, would call me within 15 minutes. No one ever did.

Around 11:45, Amy from Roadside Assistance called and said she would process my tow request, locate a provider, and that my vehicle would arrive at the drop-off location by 1:05-2:05 PM. I asked if she was a supervisor; she said no, just an agent. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and Leka joined the call. She was not aware of my situation, so I explained everything again. She said they were trying to locate a provider, and offered to cancel the tow request with a refund of the money I had paid. I declined and stated that I had contracted with AARP Roadside Assistance from Allstate and expected to receive that service. She put me on hold to try to find a provider. I was on hold for more than 40 minutes.

So, four days in now, I am still trying to get my vehicle towed to my residence, still waiting on a service provider.
