I made the mistake of signing up with Westbow Press. I was told to make three payments, which I did, and it was not a small stretch for our finances to do it. I sent in my manuscript and then waited six months to find out what my next step was. I made calls weekly to my publishing coordinator but never seemed to be able to get through. Then in February I was sent an email stating that my book could not be published and giving me a list of several things I needed to change, most of which I had already done.
I called Jeff, who is, I guess, in charge of putting people off, because by the time I got a call back from him he stated that I could not get a refund because it was past the six-month deadline. It took them 8 months to even look at my manuscript. How could I have asked for a refund sooner if I didn't know I was going to need one? I just received another email from Katerine Montgomery stating there were still multiple problems with my manuscript, even though I had made every change they said was needed.
