Yahoo automatically charges your credit card for premium services once your domain name registration expires. Surprise, surprise! A couple of months after my domain name registration expired, the charges showed up on my credit card. Not only did they purchase the domain names for me without my knowing about it, but they charged for a couple of years' worth, running up my bill unnecessarily.
Then the only way to prevent it from happening again is to cancel the account and not have access, for the next 2 years, to the domain names I am stuck owning. Loss of money is one fraudulent act, but then they really make the customer mad by not allowing him access to the product that the customer owns. Double whammy! They anger the customer and take his money.
I guarantee I will not be a return customer to Yahoo, even if I have to pay more somewhere else for better service that is honest and upfront about billing practices.
