Three days ago my DVR started humming. The humming is so loud that I must turn the volume up on my tv to hear. The humming is constant and runs weather the power is on or off. When I complained the DVR is so loud that I have not been able to even sleep, they suggested that I unplug it at night and plug it in only when I want to record something When I called customer service to complain I was told that the humming is normal and the only way I could get another DVR is to upgrade to a more expensive package along with a new 24 month contract. When I declined the offer the representative informed me that she would be making notes on my file and I would not be getting a new DVR now or in the furture unless I upgrade.
