Matt Taylor Will Not Make Good On Their Written Guarantee

I recently purchased a used boat from a company called Savage Yachts. Afre makeing the deal with the broker the company agreed to make several repairs to the boat and guarantee those items would be working perfectly when i came to pick up the boat.

I had the company put the guarantee in writting that all of the items we agreed on would be operating properly and if not that i could have a mechanic of my choice make the repairs and they would reimburse me.

Well i received a call that the boat was in perfect operating condition and to come pick it up. So i drve from FT Lauderdale to Tampa, which is over four hours. When i arrived several of the items were not working so I spoke with the owner Matt and he said he was very sorry and to leave the boat and he would make sure everything was repaired and they would now deliver the boat to me.

Well when the boat finally arrived a couple weeks later of course then generator was still not repaired and far from normal operating condition. I had no choice but to get the unit fixed as it was a fire hazard and could not be used the way it was.

After getting the unit running properly i fowarded the bills to Matt at Savage Yachts. Well i had to send them actually four times over the course of a month, because they kept telling me that they did not get them and gave me every excuse under sun, out of town, moving, just a real bunch of B/S. Finally after Matt received the invoice and had seen that i had to put out about 2k for the repairs he says that he does not have to pay because those items on the generator did not need to be repaired.

I emailed him several times and explained to him that the generator was a fire hazard and you could not operate the unit the way it was. Obvisouly he dont care about my children and my family and feels i should of left the generator the way it was as his claim is it was operating properly and he is not going to reimburse me for the repairs.

This company and this guy is noting more then a low life who is looking to screw people over and not stand by his written guarantee. I would not ever reccommend dealing with his company wether purchasing or selling. Stay far away from Savage Yachts, they have locations in other cities also.
