It all started when I received a check and instructions in the mail from the above company the amount was 2,970.35. They wanted me to transact 2,200.00 through money gram after I deposit the check into my account.in return I get 650.00 the balance was for paying money gram to send the money. This money was to go to an unknown person info only to be given after the check was deposited. It seemed really strange to me so I got online and started researching the Bank, the company Intermodel Sales Corp. Who issued the check and the above. I called the bank they verified te account number and check and said it was good to deposit, I then called the above the person who answered identified himself as Mike Campbell and he had a foreign accent sounding Nigerian that when I became most suspicious because he couldn't even explain why I needed to do money gram or what the secret shopper job as about.
I then decided to call the check issuer and immediately when I called was told that it was all a scam that someone had stolen checks from there company and various people had called after cashing these checks and I was the 1st to call before and I was lucky I did. These people are using innocent Americans to do fraud on their behalf please be aware and use caution at all times money is not given freely by strangers. I have offered to direct all transcation from the above to Intermodal seeing that these checks all belong to them.
