I was in the buy for 2 british bulldogs breeded in the US but shipping from Douala, Cameroon a country border to Nigeria. I decided to proceed with the buy as the owner was a missionary launching a new child adoption center and was looking for a family to adopt her available puppies 10 wks old. She seemed trust worthy and religious.
I went ahead and negotiated the buy for 2 puppies, 2 different genders "Jack & Brendy" and send her $450.00 US dollars by MTCN and was assured puppies would be put on the next flight to the US. And all transportation fees would be covered and no hidden fees would come about. She chose the shipping cargo "France Pet Travel" to make the delivery.
Needless to say the shipping cargo contacted me asking for $870.00 US dollars to deliver me the puppies that would include the rental temperature crates $35.00 ea, $250.00 ea. For accommodation fee $300.00 for insurance for pet care and was assured all this would be refundable at delivery time. I went ahead and send them $870.00 by MTCN. I expected a receipt or Bill of Lading # and was just provided with a tracking # that was also used with another party for the same buy, luckily I got in contact with that party and told them about this scam and how the sender will keep asking for more money.
Lastly the sender did ask for more money and wanted me to send her an additional $2000.00 for authencity paperwork, city permit which had delayed the puppies delivery and were currently stuck in France for quarantine inspection.
This is all a scam as am at lost of $1300.00 for non merchandise and doubt there are any real puppies involved. I have done research on this country and alot of scammers are out there in Nigeria and very much doubt I will get my refund back because as of today both the sender and shipping cargo have not provided me with flight information, Bill of Lading, or receipt of my buy. All I have are email trail conversation of our agreement.
