I recently received a NSF notice from my bank for a charge of $258. When I inquired as to the origin of this charge, I was given the name and number of Imperial Consumer Services. I remember a telephone call from a soliciter who guaranteed me a charge card with a $2500 limit if I would pay the $258 fee required to get the card started.
I was told to take the card to the nearest ATM, withdraw the money and immediately place it into my bank account to cover the fee. I never received the card or any other information from the company. I was totally surprised to find out that they would just try to take the money from my account with no authorization to do so.
