My previous cellphone went dead on me so I wen't up to the alltel dealer to buy a new one and got conned into paying $250.00 dollars for this motorazr, that the sales rep told me I would recieve a mail in rebate for in the amount of $100, yeah right! I sent it in right away, and ofcourse I get an email stated that I did not send in the upc barcode from the box. I did mail in the barcode, the scam is this: There is only ONE "original barcode and when you send that in, your screwed because when they tell you they never recieved it, and they will tell you they never got it, there is no way to send another because you have already sent them the ONE ORIGINAL BARCODE IN EXISTENCE! Nice scam! I just didnt think alltel was that hard-up! I HAVE A FRIEND WHO WAS VICTIMIZED BY THIS SAME LOW DOWN ALLTEL SCAM THAT I WAS, SO I WAS EVEN A BIT LEARY GOING IN AND I SENT A LETTER TO THE EFFECT TO WARN THEM I WAS PRIVY TO THERE SCAM. To no avail, scammed i am in madison. Well maybe there starving and i am just being greedy, only they know. The moral is this: do not ever purchase an alltel cellphone, or you will be scammed when you try to send in the rebate.
