Mary Kay
I agree a rip off Nationwide

I agree that Mary Kay is a rip off. When my consultant had me meet with her director for a practice interview I felt I was not getting out of the room before saying yes to something. I agreed to buy it at my cost. Then the director had me meet with her agian and I don't know how she talked me into it but I bought $1800.00 in product. I was in counseling at this time due to things in my childhhod and even told this to the director in the first interview. Once I got in I did not feel like the person who got me in even wanted to help me now. It felt more like I was competing with her and she didn't want anyone taking away her statis as a number one seller of Mary Kay. If I turned to her for advice or suggetions she would always tell me she pretty much had everyone as her customers in our circle of people we knew. I am just thankfull I did not put this on my credit card. This same consultant and director got alot of people to charge their product on a credit card. When they could not sell the products they were now with a credit card charge and interest on top of it.in fact I think I will tell the other ladies I know who also felt so pressured into it too also make a complaint to rip off. If Mary Kay is such a good comapny and easy to sell why not just let everyone try the $100.00 set up fee. They claim customers don't want to wait for their products but I think people whould be o.K. With it. They also get to claim that Mary Kay is the number one beauty product out their but how much of the product is just sitting in peoples home not being used??? I know of at least 5 people this has also happened to were now their product is just sitting at home collecting dust and interest on thier charge cards. The last straw for me was when the director asked me to share my past abuse in my childhood at one of the meetings. I didn't feel comfortable but she kept pushing so I shared my story with a bunch of strangers. When I meet with my therapist she taught me about setting boundaries and said that I should not have shared this or felt pressured too. My take on Mary Kay now is if you want to be successfull you have to be willing to take advantage of people!!! If your asked to go to a practice interview with a director REFUSE to go! I will say that my consultant now is a director but at what cost? I don't respect her or turst her anymore. I was told by the director when you get in Mary Kay it is good only to have your friends from Mary Kay. Yea, because no one will want to talk to you after you get them to be a Mary Kay consultant. Pressure them to buy the products. Or worse pressured to put produts on your charge card.
