I was approached by Quickstar Productions more than 3 years ago asking if I would like to participate in a compilation CD project. They claimed they found my music on Myspace.com. If I would like to participate, I should pay $100 to Quickstar, submit my song, and in return, Quickstar would send me 100 copies of the compilation CD to sell myself to reclaim my investment.
More than a year passed, I continually contacted Quickstar to inquire on the progress of the CD and ask when I would get my copies. Quickstar would tell me the CD was in mastering, the CDs would soon be available - and more time went by. After more than 1 1/2 years passed, I again contacted them - they said they were 'changing formats' and would not have a CD, but a jump drive version, and the copies would come to me soon.
Nothing was ever received - Quickstar stopped communicating. Tonight - by chance, I came across CD Universe - and googled my performance name, Eli the Hawk. What should come up? But the Quickstar Compilation CD with my track on it. The physical CD was not for sale - but the mp3 of the song is! They are 100 percent corrupt and I have been ripped off. I do not want my track for sale on CD Universe and Quickstar owes me a refund and must cease the use of my track!
