I was another unsupecting victim of mark and jamie mingolo. They ran this business name little gourmet academy in montgomery, alabama. I saw an ad in the local paper (8-14-08) saying manager trainee no experience necessary 17.50 hour.
I called the number listed in the paper and had to leave my name phone number and time I wanted the interview for. Went in Jamie gave me an application and seat me at the table. The music was very loud that was playing on the flat screen television. After awhile the music was turn down then out comes a little person he introduce himself to us as Mark Matson the regional director. He did a brief company history which I later found out that was bogus. He goes to the steps to become a manager.interview, market 2000 dollar retail sales, meet office manager and discuss what city you want your office (as if you really going to get one) sale challenge, meet regional director get you ready for to become office manager candidate. Then sign contract 1,000 sign on bonus and become manager making 4,000 dollars a month. They don't tell you about the $85 for background check until you go threw the interview about the fifth question. Then toward the end that when you find out there is a $100 kit deposit (notebook with a type flyers and price list of class parties and products and dumb chocolate mole) They always hire on the spot if told they will call you for a second interview it is a blow off tactic for people they think they couldn't control.
Then you go to saturday training where you will then be ask for the $100 after you sign your manager trainee contract. They always discourage questions. If you don't take everything what they say at face value they say you are being negative. They always tell the trainee not to communicate socially with each other because your training is between you and the company. This is a way for to keep you from finding things out. The same concept that was use for unique is the same they used for little gourmet academy the pin program the sales to family friends ex-coworker, church members ex - school mates and negibor (the warm referral system they call it) the meeting at hotels the trip to casino in missippi before advance meeting.
Just about everything is the same except different name of company and product. These people are lying scum bags and need to be put in prism for along time I really feel sorry for those kids growing up with con artists as parents. So if you see Mark Mingolo and Jamie Mingolo turn and run as fast as you can because these can con the Devil himself. Anybody reading this from montgomery, please don't be con by these peoples they are very convincing in everything they say but it is all lies.
