In July I purchased Alan Jackson Concert tickets from Ticketmaster. Alan Jackson would be appearing at the Soboba Casino in Hemit California on September 12.8.00 P.M...
My tickets were for section GA3, two seats directly in front of the stage, 3rd row bleacher seats. I picked these seats, 2 X $45.00 = $90.00, and they would have been excellent for viewing this concert, had we been allowed to us them.!!!
Arriving at Soboba Casino, the traffic was horrible. There was only two traffic control guards spaced about a mile apart. As we drove by these security people, I heard both of them YELLING at the concert goers to get moving.!! This was impossible due too the bumper to bumper cars and no lot attendants to direct us to parking areas. It was kinda of DO OR DIE. The parking was not seperated form the Casino goers and the Concert goers. Fend for yourselve. At least the parking was FREE. Finally parked, we headed for the arena.
Entering the security gate, our tickets were scaned, My PURSE and its contents were subject too inspection. No cameras, no video cameras, no food, no containers of any kind, not even bottled water. Food and drinks were for sale, if you had one of your own it was in the trash.
The usher directed us to our seats in the GA3 section, which was full. Row three [3] there was space for about five persons. Two of these spaces for us. As we started to take our seats, the lady sitting next to us YELLED NO! Those seats are for my kids.
I assured her these were our seats, bought and paid for, produced our tickets as proof. This lady imformed me there was no assigned seating in this arena and that I should leave NOW.
I excused myself and proceded to find the usher, explained the situation that had just taken place and ask for her assistance in obtaining the seating I had paid for. The usher informed me to go sit anywhere I could a place that had not been taken. And she proceeded to laugh at me.
Walking around the arena looking for vacant seats, I stopped a Security Guard, explained to him what had had just taken place, looking over the GA section, he stated he could move some people for me, as long as I had the right tickets, but did not know where he would put them. At this time I ask to speak with an event manager. No one ever came.
We found seats on the north side of the arena, five rows up, looking down at the stage from the side view. If it had not been for the video monitors we would not have seen anything from this area. People in this area eventually left to stand on the main floor.
We did our best to enjoy the concert, which lasted an hour and a half.
Leaving the Casino parkig area after the concert was also a nightmare. There was no traffic control. We finally found a hole in the fence, drove thru it and across a field to get out, "THIS " after waiting in lines going nowhere to leave. It took us an hour fifteen minutes to find an escape.
Soboa Casino and its employees " RUINED " out evening. Our seats were not reserved as expected, the Security Guards and the Ushers were lazy, and rude to say the least. There was no organization, the employees showed no respect for the " GUEST " At best it was a disorderly "FEND FOR YOURSELF" concert.
I have sent an email to Soboba Casino outlinig all of this and requesting that the Casino give me a complete " REFUND, $90.00 I paid for the tickets. I did not recieve what I paid for and was made to look like I am a stupid person for asking to recieve what I purchased.
If you are planning to go to the Soboba Casino, in Hemit California, PERHAPS you will want to reconsider, or you, too, will have to " ENTER AT YOU OWN RISK".
I wil be waiting to hears somthing from Soboba Casino about a refund. But I won't hold my breath.
