My mother stays here sometimes. I just recently turned 18 and thought I had some privileges here. Anyways I had gotten there to meet my mom, but she was a little late. Without a key to the camper, I decided to take a bike ride to past the time.
Well, I was riding the bike when all the sudden I hear a group of people saying something to me. I stopped to talk to them, and was very rudely told "There will be no strolling around here, son", I tried to explain to them my mother stays there and I was just waiting for her and that I wasn't just a random person trespassing. It was like talking to a wall, the man replied "This is a 55 Community Only!" (my mother isn't even 55). I remember a woman behind him yelling something as well, I'm not sure what.
They approached me from the front of the office so I assume that they were the owners, Jim & Burni. Anyways, I left immediately as to not cause anymore trouble. The man yelled as I was leaving "That's right!" like he had broken me down or something.
After I put the bike away, I proceeded to walk in front the camper and get on the phone. Here comes this guy in his golf cart harassing me again. He tried to tell me that I cannot be on the property without being accompanied by my mom. I got really frustrated when he said that I couldn't even walk around, so I told him "I will leave the property."
I cannot believe how this place is ran. My mother pays good money for us to stay there when we need too. I really wish they would have just spoken to me like a human being, that is the reason why I am reporting this incident. I think I deserve to be able to take a walk.
I read over the rules a lot and it said nothing about what he and she told me, remember my mother isn't even 55. Either is her good friend who stays there.
