Magazine subscription scam

Yesterday I received a knock at my door by a very charming boy, he was funny and knew his sales pitch well. He said he was an Army brat, moved around a lot, his mother was a traveling trauma nurse, he was very personable. He was selling magazine subscriptions. Going against my better judgement, I placed an order with him. I felt sorry for him because I remember how hard it was for my daughter trying to sell candy bars for school fundraisers. I ordered 2 magazine subscriptions intially until he told me that one magazine subscription was $71 and the other was $86, for a two year sub! Thats outrageous! I told him no thank you, I cant afford that. He pleaded with me to buy at least one subscription so that he could get points to win a trip to London. Eventually I ordered the lower priced magazine and he was so kind he offered to pay $11 of it, with me ending up owing $60, which I paid in cash. Just as he was discussing when the books should arrive, my power went out. I wanted to do a check online of this company before he left with my money, but now I couldnt. He left a receipt and a hand-made sticker to place on my door that read: Bug off, Justin (026) was here, I'm winning. A few minutes after he was out the door, my power came back on. I Googled this company and was infuriated by what I found. Several complaints on this site and the BBB of Georgia. Their own website is hosted by a free domain website, anyone can make a legit looking web page on that site, its FREE. Their facebook page has absolutely NO INFORMATION on it & 4 likes. What legitimate business in this day and age does NOT have a facebook. Especially a company like theirs because they travel. I realized I'd been duped. Tonight another boy came back to my building, talking to my neighbor. My friend was leaving my apartment and the boy asked "Oh are you going out for the night?", as if we would tell this stranger that my apt was going to be empty. I heard that and went to the door see if it was the same boy from yesterday. I interupted him & warned my neighbor who then told the boy he wasnt interested & closed his door. When I told the boy that I know his company is fraudulent he ran out of the building yelling hi-five (the same exact phrase that the boy from yesterday used). I called the police because I hate to think of how many other people they may scam. I have a hard time believing that all of these kids KNOW that this is a scam. I believe that the kids believe its a legit company, but it isnt. The boy who sold to me yesterday said his name was Justin (he included his last name as well but I'm not going to mention that here because the salespeople are still young people & I wouldnt want my childs last name given on the internet), african american (dark skinned) with hazel-ish colored eyes, tattoos up both arms from wrist to shoulder, about 5'7" tall. The second boy from tonight appeared to mixed race (possibly black and white) very light skinned, greenish colored eyes, prominent ears, tall and thin with large front teeth. I am only including this description because if you should see these people, buyer beware. The police spoke with this 2nd boys safety leader & that lady convinced the attending officer they were legit because they had "legit looking legal forms" WHAT! Anyone can print something offline, laminate it, add names and voila... Legal looking forms! Anyone who has been forced to research this company KNOWS that they are NOT legit. I just read a post from a woman "Lisa" from Arkansas whose daughter was left stranded in Middletown, NY by this company, when she said she wanted to go home. I'm wondering if its the same group of kids/leaders that are in my area because Middletown isnt far from where I live. My days of trying to be nice and help out the old fashioned door-to-door salesman are over, and I was my money back because I know I'll never see the magazines.
