We, Grand River Poodles, OH placed a puppy in the home of the * family. There was a misunderstand regarding the AKC papers. The puppy is AKC, yet we do not provide papers to puppy owners unless specified and there is a charge for them. We did discuss the papers and the right to enter the puppy in the show ring and or breed her. We would not allow this particular puppy to be bred because we know she will be far too small to carry a litter and she may become endangered in the event they attempt to breed her. They chose not to pay the additional fee to obtain the papers. All was settled. Most arrangements took place over the phone with the Mr. And my self, the owner of Grand River Poodles. The puppy arrived via air to their home on May 4 (they received a puppy from us last year in June no issues) We had no reason to believe there would be a problem this time. They love our puppies, therefore calling on us for a second. The day after the puppy arrived they began contacting every forum they could on line in excess of 100, to post their totally invalid complaint. Their money was returned, as they were not happy we were not offering papers to them at this "pet price" The money was returned via Pay-Pal the same way they paid it to us in the amount of $1,730. (In her complaint on this forum, she states $2,000.) Even though there was nothing wrong with the puppy, they have not made one statement about the well being of the puppy, that would indicate they were not happy with their choice in the puppy, just that they DEMANDED the AKC papers. That choice is totally our choice. We do not want an unhappy client in any manner, we agreed to bring her home if they were not happy with her. They claim they are very happy with her. Yet, they complain on line that the crate was used, the food dishes were bent and empty. Gee, if the food dishes were empty I would not think anyone took away her food. She must have eaten it. The puppy is checked over well by the staff at the airport and she may not board the aircraft unless she is provided food and water. Since their complaints were very petty and we say no reason to continue their dissatisfaction, We sent money to pay for the puppy to fly home., we charge $375. To send a puppy with all expenses included. They decided to charge us $560. To fly her home. OK, we agreed as we just wanted to settle this issue. They have their money, we want our puppy back. It is very simple! As soon as I paid the money via Money Gram to send the puppy home, we text them the reference # so they could go obtain the money within 10 minutes, take the puppy to the Vet the next day and obtain a health certificate needed to board the aircraft. They text back claiming they were keeping the puppy! It was something new with them every day! Among the problems, while they still have our puppy... The BBB, AKC and Ohio Attorney General have contacted us as to our answer to their complaint. We quickly replied and forwarded all the documents to prove our reasoning and our actions. Basically, they have a puppy they have not paid for and refuse to send her home. They are out nothing!!! Find another toy poodle breeder you can push around as we will not be lowered to their level with all the petty argument. The authorities are pleased with our response and have closed the case of their complaints. Next, they inform me, the puppy did damage to their bathroom and I have to pay them $900. Because it IS MY PUPPY WHO DID THIS. Please, use some common sense. You don't put a 12 week old puppy in the bathroom alone and expect it to sit their and wait for you to return, unless it is sleeping. HOW they can think that is our responsibility, we can not figure out. So, they try to strike another "deal". They asked us to send them the AKC papers, they keep the puppy free, pay them $900. For the bathroom and they will forget the whole argument. Excuse me,! We asked to have our puppy back and we can forget the whole thing. Their argument continued to get even more ridiculous. As of June 26... They still have our puppy and claim they are coming to OH tomorrow so we better be prepared via voice mail on my cell. We was so tired of being yelled at, their calls (8 a day) on both the house phone and the cell, answering their e-mails (3-4 a day), and text, several times a day. No matter how we replied and tried to understand how and why they feel they have this right to harass us in this manner. Prior, anytime we tried to speak on the phone, we were cut off, hung up on or Mr. Did not stop talking long enough for us to get a word in edgewise. We asked him on several occasions, to please slow down as we can not understand him. To reply in any manner just added fuel to their burning fire, so why keeping trying to calm them down with reason. They just don't understand why they should send the puppy they have not paid for home to us. We will be out the shipping cost to send the puppy and the Vet cost. Not them. They already have their money back from us via Pay-Pal. Then they begin weighing in on pity. They spent their hard earned money... Ect ect. Well, if someone can not afford to make a decision based on their income to purchase a $1,500. Puppy and $375. Air fare., then do not do it. If it was a bad choice for them and their four young children to spend this amount of money, they are fortunate we allowed their funds returned, now follow through with the promise to return our puppy. Next the complaint was.., it was her child support money. Again, if one can not afford it, do not do it. Then they complained, the other toy poodle they obtained a year ago was so depressed she made herself sick when they tried to separate them. We have 20 toy poodles of our own living in our home. We are well aware of the separation anxiety they feel and display. They should have sent the puppy back the next day. Not wait until everyone is attached to her. A better idea would be to pay the people who provided her to you and be happy you have her. We did not initially call them and beg for money for a puppy. We did not call them as we were giving puppies away free. We did not contact them to state we were in the business of repairing peoples bathroom due to their own ignorance! They contacted us as they loved the first puppy so much, they wanted her to grow up with a friend. Most of the people contact us as they are in search of a pre-tested healthy toy poodle. It has not ended, the slander continues. They called us a puppy-mill, insane, liars ect. Ect. Sure our feelings are hurt that a couple many many miles away is not happy with us. We too, are not happy with them as they took advantage of us. We pray the stress level in the home of this couple will lessen as they become satisfied they got us for $1,730. What else is there? What else can we do? They took from us! We did nothing intentionally to upset them. They requested a puppy, we sent them a puppy. They got their money back. It makes sense to send us our puppy back. They are doing it to themselves and we refuse to be dragged into their drama. Lesson to us all. Live, Laugh, Love and Mr. And Mrs. *... LET IT GO, you got us. Go away!
