I had filled out some information online about surveys. I then received in the mail from Consumer Center Research a check for $2400 along with a letter and two surveys. The first survey was to send $1800 through Western Union and rate their customer service. The second survey was to buy $150 in products from Best Buy, Walmart, or K-Mart and rate their customer service. I was to keep $300 for myself as a participation wage. I spoke with Nina at 647-831-2371 several times on what to do. I cashed the check and sent $1800 (plus $115 service charge) through Western Union to London, England UK. I had checked the bank name and routing number on the check and it was all legitimate, so I did not think it was a scam. I then received a call from my bank saying that the check was counterfeit and part of a scam. I called Western Union and found out that the money had already been picked up. I filed a police report and a consumer complaint report with the Attorney General's office.
