I too decided on the free trial but then found my credit card charged $80.99 one week after the $1.99 and having received nothing. I have emailed the company telling them that I did not authorise them to do this - twice - and I haven't heard a word only to find my credit card charged again today. I have emailed them again and can only think of cancelling my credit card to stop them. I'm very unhappy.
