My husband is the in the active duty military serving overseas and risking his life for his country. When I got the call from Stoneleigh Recovery Associates and the laywer told me they was going to sue my husband for the amount when I told the company that he was overseas that I had to get ahold of him or wait for his call to see what he wanted to do they would not give me the options. I then told them that they could not sue my husband while he was overseas because of the military act they did not care at all.
They threaten that my husband would be kick out of the military or get a article 15 well come to find out that was not true. They are not allowed to call my number at all anymore until my husband came home. But before I found that out I gave them me and my husband bank account number and at first it was suppose to be on July 31st that they would take out $606.50 but when I look at my bills I come to realize that I could not do that. So I have the respect to call them and tell them that I could not do that amount.
So I spoke to a associate and it was agreeable that they would take $300.00 on july 31st and then $300.00 on August 31st and then after that it would be $75.00 a month. The associate sent me a fax on July 19th to verify all that was agreeable. Well when I check the bank Account they tried to the 606.50 and now there is a overdraft fee on our account. So this company does not keep their agreement and they do not respect the military or the laws that protect them while they are overseas. I wish there is someone out there that can help me. And if at anytime this company contacts to u by suggestions is to get attorney so this company does not screw u.
