I received a letter from a company calling itself "Ivoclar Consumer Research, along with a check for $2,295.15. The title at the top of the check Identified the company as Ivoclar Vivadent Inc., and was drawn from a bank called Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company, with a routing #number that was current back in July, 1996... Just a little bit out of date. The phone #'s on the letter were from Missouri, and Ontario Canada, even though the letter's return address was from a fictitious New York City address. I have reported the scam to the Real Ivoclar Vivadent Inc. (a dental supply company) aswell as the M&T Bank, whose representative assured me that the routing number on the check is no longer current. I am going to be taking this to the BBB and my local city hall to spread the word about this scam.
