I was called on my phone and told I was selected to receive $5000 in government grants to help with bills, rent, and other expenses. I was given the phone number (Personal Info Removed) to call and speak with Janet. She directed me to go to a western union in the area and wire her $190 so my funds could be processed, and she said that it would be refunded to my $5000 grant. I dumbly agreed... I was then directed to speak with Jason? At (Personal Info Removed), and he walked me through the process, telling me to wire the money to Rakesh Kumar. I used western union and my MTCN # was 111-530-4247. I then was told that my money could be direct deposited, so I unfortunately gave them my account and routing number. I know this was incredibly stupid, but I have been in a bind, and these jerks caught me at a vulnerable time. It took forever for me to get it to them though, so maybe they wrote down the wrong numbers, prayerfully. At any rate, I was told my money would be deposited 15 minutes from 5 pm eastern time. It is 8 pm eastern time, and still no money. I spoke with another Indian sounding guy, I think named Cery. His number is (Personal Info Removed). He tried to say the reason my money is not deposited yet is because I need to pay $460 in IRS taxes to get the money. I told him I want my money back and I am no longer interested in any of it, but he claimed I can't get it back. All of these numbers are valid, so if you hurry, you may catch these criminals.
