I was checking items out at the register (front) and asked why every time i checked out someone asked me if I wanted candy or gum. The person at the register was very polite and informed me that they had instructions that they were instructed to do so. Once said, they continued there would be disciplinary actions if quotas were not met. Firstly, being asked about candy or gum every time you check out is very annoying and secondly, demerits for an hourly wage employee i think is illegal. Hasn't Walgreens been fined in the past for illegal actions? I intend to follow up with this complaint.
Thank you, Ruth Pyatok
