New refrigerator non-functional, terrible customer relations

My 84 year-old mother is having the most horrible experience with your call center! After three visits from GE technicians, her refrigerator/freezer once again failed to cool, about two weeks after it had been "FIXED". And this is a *newly purchased* appliance. She is so upset, it is making her ill!

Before the latest technician visit, she had requested a product exchange, for one that is known to be working. The case worker said that would be possible, and even located a replacement product in a Portland warehouse. However, a week went by and NOTHING HAPPENED. Finally, my brother contacted the call center and was told that the case worker was fired, and the exchange would not be possible. I am appalled that my mother's case was simply dropped on the floor and she was left hanging in that way.

Her current case worker has been very difficult to reach, either being "unavailable" or on vacation. My mother, my siblings and I totally feel like she is being SCAMMED by your company. At this point, my mother has no faith in the GE brand, and wants a refund. Even if the appliance is exchanged, the replacement may also be faulty, and she'll have to go through the same customer service nightmare. If you could do something to improve this dismal situation, it would certainly be appreciated.
