We purchased a new sony bravia, sony blu ray disc player and the hook ups from best buy located in albany ny. We have had problems with our tv that was purchased jan 18. The tv loses the audio and video intermittently. The package total was over $2000.00. I called sony on the 21st of june, talked with a rep who said that he would send a tv repair service for me. I was given names to contact on june 22 of two repair shops. But, neither one will come to our home to repair the tv. I was on the telephone over one hour explaining my situation. He said that they could pick up our tv and it would take 3 to 4 weeks to repair. I told him that this was unacceptable. I further explained that we purchased the 4 year extended warranty but the manufacturer warranty is still in effect until 18 january. I then asked for a supervisor to talk with. And discussed this again. The supervisor said to call the geek squad. I asked why because the tv is still under factory warranty. He said they would send me the parts with instructions to fix the problem. I said no, sony should send a service technician and i have no electronic skills to repair the tv and if i did and i damaged something else that the warranty would be invalid. It bothers me that sony corporation does not support its products. I will be waiting for your comments. Also i have not received the parts as of this date. Respectfully, mr kenneth clouthier
