I made an appointment with Room Agent on 56 East 41st Street, when I went in he asked me for my full name social security number and photo id to copy, I didnt have a photo id on me ad reluctantly gave him my social, he then promised me he had a couple hundred rooms and handed me a contract to sign asking for $150 non refundable, I read it over for a couple of minutes while he went in the back and stayed there a while, when he came back out i told him I wanted to step outside to make a phonecall and think about it as soon as i said that he immediately walked around the counter saying i can no longer work with you and your account will now be deleted please leave now and dont go to any othr agencys cause they wont work with me, i was shocked at what he was doing and said to him how can he do that and if he is legitimate why wouldnt he have an open door policy to come back and said so basically you just want my money he opened the door and said leave now and dont make any calls in the building wait till your outside, I feel extremely insecure cause now he has my social security number and full name and can id theft me i dont know what to do or what steps to take other than to complain on here, furthermore i am shocked and outraged that this can continue to happen with advertising having a sign in the window and be alloud to continue luring innocent hard working individuals in need of housing into his office this is an extremely unsafe situation being alloud to continue, how!!! He could have gotten violent or anything could happen to anyone not only id theft this is completel unnacceptable and action needs to be taken now before something else happens to an innocent person!!!
