I recieved an e-mail thru human resources inquiring about a job that was suppose to be perfect for me, since my resume was seen. The job offer was for Account Coordinator, which the money was good, and a contract had to be sread and signed and either faxed / or mailed back to address given in information. I recieved the contract a nd printed it out and read through it entire contents and I also to usacomplaints. Coms, entered the companies mane/e-mail, went through all the usual procedures to make sure for my own peace of mine that the company was a legal business. I could not find anything anywhere that this business was a fraud. So I reread the contract and I faxed their copy back, within about 2 weeks I recieved a check in my mail that I was suppose to cash, which was part of my job,
Anyway my thought was at this time this check might not be any good so I did not deposit it into my personal, I went to one of the locations that the company listed to cash this check and after many times trying to get ahold of someone in Flordia which this check was suppose to be drawn on, finally reaching someone I was told at first trhe chack was just fine, but as the conversation continued the call was then transfered to another person and she stated that check from this accound are fraud but not all of them, so they in no way would cash it without knowing or having someone verify the amount was good and it could be cashed. I was so embrassed and felt like a criminal, I went home and faxed an letter to this company and also e-mail and letter, today my letter came back with e-mail failure notification. Dont be ripped off like me, I was only trying to support my family, having just been laid of from my job. I feel there needs to be another way to find out about companies whom offer work to make sure their legal.
