I was contacted by First American National Financial Group on December 10. They offered me a restructure on my home loan because of hardship circumstances. They said I could get a 3.5% fixed 15 year rate. I was asked to write 2 checks for the amount of $775.00 each to start the process. Both of the checks have been cashed. I have tried to contact the company to check the status of my loan and no one will return my phone calls. I believe this is a scam. The notary public who transfered the signed forms and checks to First American has not been paid her fee either.
